How to Use the Usage Statistics

JAIRO usage statistics allow you to check various kinds of statistical data.

Usage Statistics Screen Top Page

The usage statistics screen top page allows you to check the monthly and annual number of accesses to JAIRO and the number of searches carried out on JAIRO.

The initial display shows the statistics of the current month.
When you want to use the statistics of another month or another fiscal year, select the year and the month from the pull-down menu and click the display button. When you want to select the screen of a fiscal year, select "Fiscal year" from the pull-down menu of "Month."


Access Status
"Number of visits" to the Japanese screen and that to the English screen are displayed, and the number of searches carried out by a certain "Unique visitors" on the Japanese screen and that on the English screen are displayed.
The number of "Top page accesses", "Number of simple searches", and "Number of advanced searches" carried out on the Japanese screen and those carried out on the English screen are displayed.
Concerning the number of search operations, "Number of searches(Sum)" are also displayed.


Item Access Status
"Detailed display" for each content type (NIItype) on each of the Japanese and English screens is displayed in a stacked bar chart.
In addition, "Detailed display" for each content type (NIItype) on each of the Japanese and English screens is displayed.
When you click "more", the screen goes to "Item access detail screen".

Access Status by Country
Concerning a specified item, the number of accesses by county or by domain is displayed with a bar chart.
When you switch items, use the pull-down button above the bar chart.
"Number of visits"
"Unique visitors"
"Top page accesses"
"Number of searches"
"Detailed display"

Linking Status
The number of linking operations from the detailed information screen (total number of linking operations and the number of linking operations to each of the institutional repositories: WebcatPlus, KAKEN, and NII-DBR) on each of the Japanese and English screens is displayed.
When you click "more", the screen changes to "Linking detail screen".

Referrer Status
The number of times the referrer information (search result list, direct URL, search engine, etc.) was used on each of the Japanese and English screens when the detailed information screen was displayed is displayed.

Item Access Detail Screen

"Item access detail screen" allows you to check the item access status of each month and fiscal year.


Item Access Status
Concerning "Detailed display", the number of accesses to the Japanese screen and that of accesses to the English screen are displayed.
When the item access statuses of all content types (NIItype) have been displayed, "Detailed display" for each content type (NIItype) on each of the Japanese and English screens is displayed with a stacked bar chart. When the item access status of each content type (NIItype) has been displayed, the bar chart is not displayed.

Concerning an item of which its detailed information has been displayed at least once, up to 200 pieces of item information are displayed. The information is displayed in the following form:

[Content type (NIItype) icon], "Author"
"Title"
"Journal title", "Volume", "Issue", and "Start page" - "End page", "Publication date"


In addition, the information on the institutional repository and the number of accesses to the repository are also displayed.
When you click the link "Title", the screen goes to "Detailed information display screen".

Linking Detail Screen

"Linking detail screen" allows you to check the linking status of each month and fiscal year.


Status of Linking to Each Institutional Repository
The number of link operations from the detail screen to each institutional repository on each of the Japanese and English screens is displayed.
