From the JAIRO search screen, academic contents accumulated in Japanese institutional repositories can be searched for.
In "Simple Search", you can search the entire contents information using keywords. → How to Use Simple Search

On the Simple Search screen, you can search the entire contents information by specifying keywords.
Keyword entry box
Enter a keyword with which you want to search for contents in the keyword entry box and click the search button to search for registered entire contents information.

How to specify contents with full-text
You can also search for only contents with link information to full-text.
"All" ….. All pieces of contents information are searched for.
"Include Full-text" ….. Only contents with link information to full-text are searched for.
1. Matching Conditions in a Search
Multi-byte letters (Japanese) are handled as a partial match.
Roman letters are handled word by word as a forward match.
2. Logical Operation
AND operation: Keywords are separated with spaces (two-byte and one-byte spaces).
OR operation: Keywords are separated with " | " (pipe).
NOT operation: " ! " is described to the left of a keyword.

Example (Figure above): When you want to search for data of which its contents information includes "Informatics" and "Research paper".
3. Entry of a Phrase
A phrase (character string including spaces) is enclosed with one-byte [ “ ] (double quotation mark).
Example: "Integrated multimedia search system"
4. About Distinction of Letters
Roman uppercase and lowercase letters are not distinguished.
Roman two-byte and one-byte letters are not distinguished.
Lowercase and uppercase letters of the Greek and Russian alphabets are not distinguished.
One-byte and two-byte katakana letters are not distinguished.
Two-byte and one-byte numerals (0 to 9) are not distinguished.
Dashes, hyphens, and minus signs are removed.
You can search for contents by specifying the search fields.
| Any | The entire contents information is searched in the same way as in "Simple Search". |
| Article Title | Contents can be searched for according to their titles, etc. |
| Author(ID) | Contents can be searched for according to their authors, publishers, ID, etc. |
| Keyword | Contents can be searched for with keywords related to them. |
| Journal Title | Contents can be searched for with journal titles. |
| ISSN | Contents can be searched for with ISSN, bibliographic record IDs, etc. |
| Types | Contents can be searched for with types. When you click the link "List", you can select types on the type selection screen. |
| Organizations | Contents can be searched for with organizations. When you click the link "List", you can select organizations on the organization selection screen. |

Example (Figure above): You can select "Any", "Article Title", "Author", "Keyword", "Journal Title" and "ISSN" for the search fields.
Logical operators between the search fields
A logical operator between the search fields can be selected from "AND", "OR" and "NOT".

When more search fields are necessary, clicking [Add Search area] once will add a search field.
When you click the link "List", the screen is linked to the type(organization) selection screen.
Please check the types(organizations) that you want to search for and the "select" button. After that, when you click the "Search" button, you can search for only the contents classified into the type(organization) that you select.


If you want to close the screen, please click "×" button (lower right) or outside the screen (gray area).
