Effect of the Galilean transformation invariance of added inertia force term on mathematical well-posedness of two fluid model equation is investigated on the basis of eigenvalue analysis. Ill-posedness of the conventional two fluid model equation is known well since Lyczkowski et al. pointed it out in 1978. However, the reason for the ill-posedness has not yet been clarified. Eames et al. recently derived a formula of added inertia force term being invariant under the Galilean transformation, while Lyczkowski et al. studied the mathematical well-posedness using a not-invariant formula. The difference of mathematical well-posedness due to the above two formulas is demonstrated for the actual conditions.
