Departmental Bulletin Paper コーパスに基づいた類義表現の分析―「~たばかりだ」と「~たところだ」を例に―

建石, 始

The Japanese grammatical forms of "-ta bakari da" and "-ta tokoro da" are synonyms that express 'just after'.Much of the research on these two forms is analyzed by the intuition of native speakers. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the differences of meaning and usage using the Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese (BCCWJ).Based on the observation made from the corpus, "-ta bakari da" co-occures with verbs that express appearance and change, whereas, "-ta tokoro da" is more likely to co-occur with verbs that express action, activity and utterance. Furthemore, this study observes that both of these two forms are likely to co-occur with adverbs that express events, which happened 'immediately before'. Finally, this study serves to demonstrate "-ta bakari da" is used when modifying nouns, while "-ta tokoro da" is used in the sentence final position.
