Departmental Bulletin Paper 翻訳から見る日中両国語の擬音語と擬態語について―その形態と文法機能の異同を中心に―

龐, 焱  ,  Yan, PANG

This paper compares and contrasts onomatopoeia in Japanese and Chinese languages collected from traslation work to examine the differences and similarities in their formats. This paper discovers through comparative analysis that proper use of onomatopoeia in Japanese and Chinese languages can make expressions more vivid and the state of movements clearer. More effective onomatopoeia translation models between Japanese and Chinese are to be summarized for better understanding of the features of the two languages and proper translation in Japanese and Chinese, which will be a major part of the author's reserch work.
