睡眠、食事、運動などの生活習慣の乱れは、大学生の学業全般や生活面に様々な影響を及ぼすことは周知の事実である。入学当時は慎重に過ごしていた者も、時間の経過に伴い自己実現に向けて挑戦したりする。また、入学当時は挑戦していた者も、時間の経過に伴いモチベーションが低下し目標の喪失などが起こったりする。このように入学時の生活習慣は、環境への慣れに伴い変化をしていく。本研究では、新入生に対し、生活習慣及びメンタルヘルスに関する調査を2 回(入学当初および1 年終了時)実施し、追跡が可能であった1,411 名を対象に、その経時的変化がメンタルヘルスに与える影響を検討した。;It is common knowledge that an irregular sleeping pattern, unhealthy diet or lack of exercise, greatly impacts on the academic and daily lives of college students. Even those who begin college life with a cautious attitude can find themselves trying new things and discovering how to express themselves, as time goes on. On the other hand, sometimes those who start their college life with a more industrious attitude can become demotivated, even losing sight of their goals completely. It seems that as students become more familiar with the college environment, their habits begin to change. For this study, the daily habits and mental health of 1,411 newlyenrolled college students were examined twice (once around when they enrolled; once again pproximately a year later), and the influences on their mental health as time passed were considered.
