本研究の目的は、山梨県内にあるA幼稚園の実践を検討し、一人一人を生かす集団保育の在り方を考察することである。素話等を用いて、一人一人の園児に相手の気持ちを考え、かつ、自分の気持ちを言語化して伝えることができる力を育もうと、B保育者は、その能力に応じてグループ分けを行ってみた。その結果、表現能力の低い園児は次第に意見表明ができるようになり、集団をリードすることが多い園児との衝突が起こるが、様々な活動を通して、多くの園児が他人の意見を聞き、また、自分の意見が表現できるようになった。お互いの意見を調整しながら他者との関わりあいを深め、幼稚園と保護者とが協働して「意味のある学びの共同体」形成に取り組むことが望まれる。
The purpose of this research is to examine the practice of A kindergarten in Yamanashi prefecture with regards to finding a way of enhancing the value of each individual child within an early childhood care and education group. B teacher nurtured each child’s ability to consider the feelings of another person and to verbalize their views through the use of storytelling and so on. Grouping was based on each child’s ability of expressing his or her own views. After the nurturing procedure, children with low expressive ability gradually became able to express their own views. While this trial caused conflicts between those children who initially had low expressive abilities and children who had always taken leadership roles, these experiences enabled many children to begin listening to others and better able to express their own views. Resulting in the children of this class: deepening of their relationships with others; being better able to adjust their views of each other; and in the formation of “a significant learning community”.
