In the context of teacher-training, one of the most important skills for students is that of the development of clear and structured classroom expertise. This is the focus of this paper, which further specializes into the two fields of instructional design skills and development of lesson-plans through quantifiable and measurable means, that of demonstration lessons within the teacher-training courses. The writers have developed these ideas and produce demonstration classes based on instructional design theory, as well as their own first-hand experiences of teaching at Japanese junior high school and university levels. Concurrently, one does doing committee work for educational development, while the other brings her experiences of being the university-level faculty member responsible for teacher-training.
