世界農業遺産（GIAHS）に関する考察 : 『会津農書』と"Walden" の視点から世界農業遺産（GIAHS）に関する考察 : 『会津農書』と"Walden" の視点からAA11821081 A Study on Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(GIAHS) : On a viewpoint of kakko “Aizu Nousho” and “Walden”
“The virtues of a superior man are like the wind; the virtues of a commonman are like the grass; the grass, when the wind passes over it, bends.”( H.D.Thoreau, “Walden” ).This essay focuses on the resilience as the factor of sustainability, whichis related to the restoration from such serious stresses as disasters andman-made calamities. Meanwhile, FAO’s GIAHS (Globally ImportantAgricultural Heritage Systems) regards the resilience as the importantfactor of sustainability in rural areas and finds out the traditional farmingsystems continued a long time together with their inherent culture, landscape and biodiversity. On such an issue, we can recognize some critical issues on the essential factors of resilience in “Aizu Nousho” written by Saze Yojiemon in 1684 and “Walden” written by H.D.Thoreau in 1854. We think that they are suggestive to know how to manage the rural resources to improve the sustainability and make harmonize our conscious and behavior with both the economic and ecological justice.
