内容記述
The Poincare section method is used to analyze simulations of fast-ion-driven instabilities in tokamak plasmas. It is found that the magnetic topology exhibits island-like structures at low-order rational surfaces. Since our hybrid simulations are usually set up to capture the dynamics of MHD waves and fast ions rather than magnetic reconnection, it is important to clarify how the limited resolution and PIC noise influence the reconnection process and how the magnetic islands influence the wave-particle interactions. First results and insights of our analyses are presented and discussed.
