Presentation Focusing and up-shift of laser light by relativistic flying mirrors in the high power and large wavelength difference regime

Ultra-high power laser pulses propagating in plasma generate breaking plasma waves, relativistic flying mirrors. Lasers counter-propagating to them are reflected, up-shifted and compressed. Using 2D particle-in-cell simulations we show that the source pulse can significantly modify the mirrors at high intensity and that harmonics are generated when both pulses have the same intensity.
