||Time-resolved VUV reflection spectroscopy for spatio-temporal diagnosis of ultrafast plasma formation

Spatio-temporal diagnosis of an intense-laser induced plasma is performed by time-resolved VUV reflection spectroscopy with two-dimensional imaging technique. On the basis of the frequency-resolved optical gating analysis, the VUV waveform and change in reflectivity are derived in a spatially resolved manner. It is revealed that the excited electron density after the plasma formation depends on the position within the area as small as the focal spot size of the VUV pulse.
