From the studies so far, they have not clarified what kind of self-recognition about one’s impulsivity and self-control peoplehave. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self-recognition of impulsivity andindividual traits by four personal measurements, and also between self-recognition of self-control and individual traits bythem. To measure individual traits, we used the revised Japanese version BIS-11, the abbreviated Japanese version DII, theRRS and the cognitive reflection-impulsivity. As a result, most of the participants answered that they had impulsivenessand self-control. The self-recognition of impulsivity was related with impulsive traits of individual and cognitive reflection. On the other hand, the self-recognition of impulsiveness was related with tendency of non-planning impulsiveness. We discussedthese results from viewpoints of the process of procrastination and over-adaptation.
