This is a report on school counselors' intervention at educational locations following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. At that time, school counselors endeavored to provide post-disaster psychological support for children and students, as well as engaging in collaborative efforts with school principals, nurses, and homeroom teachers to tackle issues arising within schools. The results of medical professionals' intervention at educational locations indicated that collaborative efforts with those in specialized fields led to the children's improved physical and emotional health. Intervention by medical professionals at educational locations is necessary for improving the physical and emotional well-being and development of children.
