This is the third study for the analysis of the incipient scientific thinking of the early years of children. The activities about “Light and Shadow< by four-year-olds at a nursery school were recorded in two subsequent years, i.e. 2013 and 2014. Using the “Activity Mapping< method, the children's incipient scientific thinking about “Light and Shadow< at the beginning of the activities were analyzed. The cumulative synthesis of the research results showed children actually had the incipient scientific thinking. For example, since children already had the concepts of “shadow< before the activities, children could answer the teachers' questions or responded to other childrenʼs expressions using the contents of the picture book that the teacher had read and/or images which they have got through their experiences, children incorporated parts of someoneʼs ideas in their thinking, children had their own hypotheses, and investigated to validate them or other children's hypotheses. However, some children who agree with someone's ideas instantly and didn't consider thoroughly were observed. In both cases in 2013 and 2014, the teachers encouraged children to reconsider clarify. It is important for the teachers to improve their perspectives and skills to detect children's way of scientific thinking and support them.
