Departmental Bulletin Paper 児童生徒間のいじめに対する教員の認識:テキスト分析によるカテゴリ化の試み

 Bullying among students is difficult for schoolteachers to discover, identify, and characterize, partly because of concealment efforts by both perpetrators and victims. This study proposed to clarify how schoolteachers recognize such difficulties. By means of text analysis (or text mining), sentences written by schoolteachers were categorized, and relationships between categories were discussed. Consequently, it became clear that schoolteachers collected information about bullying and based on their researched knowledge on the matter, attempted to provide guidance to perpetrators. However, this study discusses how these methods are not necessarily adequate to overcome the difficulties involved in bullying.
