The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of the Reggio Emilia Approach in the history of ECEC in Sweden.Specifically we compare the two practices, one is "Theme" practice which is traditional child education in Sweden, the other is now so-called "Project". We also consider the transition of the national curricula.To investigate the process of acceptance of Reggio Inspiration into Sweden, it offers us the key to think how to transplant the thought and method of early child education into countries which have different cultural and social backgrounds.
