The aim of this study was to develop a SHINSHU version of the Social Emotional Learning Program using forest therapy techniques. Subjects were 118 (Men: N=58, Women: N=60, age range 3-42). Physiological and psychological tests for CVR-R, blood pressure, heart rate, depressive tendency, fatigue and anxiety were administered before and after forest therapy. These tests as well as a psychological test for self-esteem were also administered before and after the SHINSHU version of the Social Emotional Learning Program. The results show that (a) the average for CVR-R after forest therapy was higher than before, and anxiety after forest therapy was lower than before. (b)Average scores for self-esteem after experiencing the SHINSHU version of Social Emotional Learning program was higher than before. These results suggested that the SHINSHU version of the Social Emotional Learning program has a positive effect on stress management
