The aim of this paper is to propose “experiential material consideration activities” toconsider translucent materials for formative activity, and to practice it in class and to verifyits effect, based on previous research. In the activity, which consists of five phases, in 2class lessons, learners make stained - glass style works with color cellophane paper and othermaterials, recognize translucent materials again and consider them.Since 2014, the activity has been practiced four times in “Childcare contents F (formativeexpression)”. The reflection reports written by the students reveal that the activity gavethe students an opportunity to notice, consider and experience so that they could got newknowledge and change their idea and attitude of translucent materials and modeling play usingthem. The limitation of this paper is that there is little objective evidence, so questionnairesurveys and interviews will be planned in order to verify the learning activity quantitatively inthe future.
