Experimental Study of Heat Transfer Characteristics of High Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Using Electrically Heated Tube

In general, it is very important to rocket engine designs to estimate regenerative cooling performances of rocket engine combustion chambers properly. It was learned from our survey that the data of liquid hydrogen heat transfer characteristics at high pressure was needed to improve the CFD tools for the application to high pressure rocket engine designs. Electrically heated tube tests were conducted in order to get such data. The acquired heat transfer data were compared with the well-known correlations.
