In astronomy- and Earth-observation satellites, disturbances induced by internal mechanisms degrade the pointing stability. Though satellites suppress the disturbance using passive-typeisolators that consist of dampers and springs, its capability is limited. Instead of passive isolators, authors developed the active disturbance suppression using accelerator and magnetic bearing actuator. This paper describes the configuration of the active disturbance suppression and experimental results.
