Continuing the present author’s papers in the previous numbers of the present bulletin (35th,36th and 37th), the author publishes translations of the rest of the stories from the “Kievan CavesPatericon”. The present issue contains eighteen stories by various authors. Five of them are fromso-called “Feodosij Cycle”: Discourse 10, “The Decoration of Feodosij’s Coffin”; Discourse 11, “AnEncomium to Our Venerable Father Feodosij”; Discourse 12, “The First Monks of the CavesMonastery”; Discourse 13, “How Nifont Saw Feodosij in a Divine Revelation”; Discourse 36,“Venerable Isaakij the Cave-Dweller”. Nine are written by the bishop of Vladimir and Suzdal’ Simon:Discourse 15, “Simon’s Narrative about the Holy Monks”; Discourse 16, “Blessed Evstratij theFaster”; Discourse 17, “The Meek and Long-Suffering Monk Nikon”; Discourse 18, “The HolyMartyr Kukusha and Pimin the Faster”; Discourse 19, “Holy Afanasij the Solitary”; Discourse 20,“The Venerable Svjatosha”; Discourse 21, “The Monk Erazm”; Discourse 23, “The Priest Tit and theDeacon Evagrij”. Two stories are by Policarp : Discourse 34, “Spiridon the Baker and Alimpij theIcon-Painter” and Discourse 35, “The Venerable and Long-Suffering Father Pimin”. Discourse 37,“The Pious Prince Izjaslav’s inquiry” and Discourse 38, “The Death of Policarp, and the PriestVasilij” are by anonymous writers.With the present issue, the translation of “the Patericon of Kievan Caves Monastery” iscompleted.
