Students’ Satisfaction and Practical Ability of Early Childhood Education and Care

This purpose of this article is to clarify the relationship between students’ satisfaction and the practical abilities of early childhood education and care professionals by way of a questionnaire survey given to 39 students, as well as text mining analysis of observation logs. These results show that the degree of student satisfaction was related to their own practical ability levels in the area of early childhood education as a result of the survey questionnaire. The preparatory stages as well as students’ learning outcomes are key to active learning. There were various plans for guidance, linguistic communication, and descriptions about physical contact in observation logs. There was also a great deal of description about incorporating reflection for leaders as opposed to observers. Students improved the practical ability of early childhood education and care through interaction with children via cooperation with kindergartens in their respective communities.
