Study of Tactical Knowledge of the Goal Type Ball Game in Junior High School Physical Education

 In this study, we conducted a unit of the curriculum using a strategic learning approach,and then examined a level of educational achievement in terms of cognitive learning with someknowledge tests on strategy. Student’s answers in the strategic knowledge tests were analyzed with four viewpoints; thenumber of answers, the number of plays, selection of play when the game starts and answersaware of defense player’s action. We found that the knowledge which we had designed as teaching contents were properlylearned, and that students learned to select more feasible play during the game and puttogether offense plans more efficiently.
