研究ノート The Kumamoto Earthquake became the test case of the disaster response system which was established after the Great East Japan Earthquake. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the wide-area support system where local governments mutually help each other at the time of disaster has been enhanced in the disaster administration in Japan. At Kumamoto Earthquake, Did this wide-area support system between local governments function well? And what are its issues? In this paper, we would like to review the responses by the local governments in the period of disaster emergency response at Kumamoto Earthquake, especially focusing on the wide-area support.
