In the Edo era, those commodities that entered Japan from China through Nagasaki trade contained a large amount of calligraphy materials,especially rubbings for studying calligraphy. These rubbings that entered Japan from China had become guiding materials for Japanese calligraphy circles to study Chinese calligraphic style in the Edo era.
