The aim of this study is as follows: What kind of outcomes and challenges will be obtained if the teacher introduces “Jishobiki<, a method of teaching Japanese dictionaries to make children understand vocabulary and expand vocabulary? It is the purpose of this research to clarify through analyzing cases of introduction in British elementary schools. This study clarified the difference between the teaching view of teachers in the UK (view of teaching materials, view of children) and the teaching perspective of Japanese teachers. First of all, it is about teaching Japanese teachers. (1)The guidance of teachers in Japan is bound by the leadership plan of each subject, the leading position in the class, (2)Therefore, what you expect from the “dictionary subtraction learning method< is to demonstrate the subjectivity of the child. On the other hand, it is about teaching English teachers. (1)The teaching in the class is being developed based on the child's ability view, then, (2)The teaching of spelling guidance is considered as the most difficult problem. Especially in English lesson of Primary school. As a teaching method for overcoming the problem, it was revealed that UK teachers greatly hope for “Jishobiki<.
