Developing the Curriculum of the Design process in the Technology Education related with ESD

In this study, we examined curriculum for developing technical education courses on the topic of materials and processing techniques related to ESD. One of our aims was to develop curriculum related to ESD. For that curriculum, we compared manufacturing-related study to the definition of ESD. After conducting the class developed during this study, students? comments showed knowledge of the six elements needed to build a sustainable society and demonstrated four attitudes toward ESD. This class also showed that attitudes toward ESD could be cultivated without problem-solving situations. Of those four, an attitude of “positive participation” was easier to cultivate than other attitudes toward ESD.
