Description
An axisymmetric shape equation for a vesicle under non-uniform environment is derived byutilizing the variational principle. The effectiveness of the equation is demonstrated by studying thebuckling transition of vesicle with compressive force. By numerical calculations, it is examined thatfor different conditions of vesicles there exist many types of excited states whose shapetransformation are determined by the shape equation with spatially varying surface energy term.
