本研究では、英語教育に関する実態調査により、中学校の英語教員が抱えている問題点を明らかにした上で、それらの問題に対応するために、「教材研究プログラム」「人間関係構築プログラム」「授業力向上プログラム」の3種類の研修プログラムを作成した。プログラムを参考に、Teacher Trainerである訪問アドバイザーが英語教員の授業を参観し、1人ひとりに応じた教員研修を行った。研修による変容をねらいとして、指導を受けた英語教員に対して、事後調査を行い、個別研修の効果を検証した。それにより、グローバル時代の「個別対応による教師養成支援システム」の構築に取り組んだ。
The purpose of the present study it to develop a teacher-education support system based on individual response via the following procedures. The issues that junior high school English teachers grapple with were first brought to light by a survey about the conditions of English education. Second, to correspond to these problems, three types of training programs were created: “instructional materials research”, “building human relations” and “towards a better class.” Third, a visiting adviser referred to as the “teacher trainer” visited the class of the English instructors and conducted one-on-one service training by making reference to the programs above. Fourth, post-training questionnaires were given to the English teachers who had received instruction, to investigate the effects of their individual training. The aim was to determine if or how much the teachers had been affected by the training. The implications of these implementations will be used for constructing a more effective teacher education support system which is based on individual response.
