When chemical warfare agents (CWAs) such as nerve agent VX are used in terrorism, methods for rapid and accurate analysis of these materials are required. In our previous study, Atmospheric Plasma Soft Ablation method (APSA), which utilizes plasma as desorption/ionization source has been developed and applied for mass analysis of CWAs on glass surface. As a result, high-sensitive analysis was realized. However, this method needs gas cylinder for helium plasma generation and is not suitable for on-site analysis. In this study, to overcome this problem, gas-cylinder-free surface adhesion sample mass spectrometry system was developed. In this system, plasma is generated using ambient air, which is drawn into the discharge region by negative pressure of the mass spectrometer. Then, the adhesion samples on Teflon® surface are directly irradiated by the air plasma and desorbed then ionized. Then the ionized molecules were introduced to the mass spectrometer by airflow. To evaluate the analytical performance, VX in a contaminant was analyzed. As a result, when Sodium chloride and sucrose were used as contaminants, the limit of detections of VX were 77 and 91 pmol, respectively.
テロ現場などで神経剤が散布された場合,迅速かつ正確な検知が必要である。演者らは,試料にプラズマを照射する脱離イオン化手法を開発し,神経剤の検知に成功している。本研究では,現場での神経剤検知を想定し,ガスボンベフリー表面付着物質量分析装置の開発,及び夾雑物を含む神経剤の検知を行った。夾雑物に食塩とショ糖を用いた場合,それぞれ77,91 pmolの検出下限で分析に成功し,現場での神経剤検知の可能性が示された。
