This research paper considers reforms in Japan’s higher education system and the need for a global skills development curriculum suited to leveraging the future academic and mobility needs of students’. This initiative connects Tokyo Tech’s internationalization policy to developing a core educational engineering curriculum. This meets an emerging global skills requirement for integrating learning and knowledge technologies including electronic reflective learning portfolios.
