The purpose of this paper is to examine the significance of learning through discussion by child care and education teachers. In this study, I carried out interviews with child care and education teachers at “Atomu Nursery School" and “Tsubasa Nursery School". The study focused on cultivating beliefs about care and education for children and families through discussion. Child care and education teachers were able to change their perspective and motivation toward child care and education by cultivating empathy between themselves and others. They achieved this by a process of involvement with a variety of people, contact on diverse values, and acceptance others.
