 義務教育学校を制度化する学校教育法一部改正(2015)を受け,秋田県内でも複数の市町村が,小中一貫教育学校及び小中一貫型小学校・中学校(仮称)の設置に向けた具体的な検討を始めている.本研究では,秋田県内における小中連携教育の現状とその成果・課題及び小中一貫教育に対する市町村教育委員会の考え方を調査した.その結果,小中一貫教育学校の設置の動向には,学習指導及び生徒指導の充実に加え,少子化への対応という動機が強いこと,設置に当たっては施設・設備等のハード面よりも,教職員の意識,9 年間を見通したカリキュラム開発といったソフト面の課題を重視する傾向の強いことを明らかにした.
Responding to the partial revision of the SchoolEducation Act in 2015 which institutionalized"compulsory education school", some municipalboards of education in Akita have started to workon a detailed study of establishing combined primaryand lower secondary schools and less-combinedprimary schools and lower secondary schools(tentative name).In this study, we examined the current status,achievements and problems of the cooperativeeducation between primary and lower secondaryschools in Akita Prefecture as well as the opinionsof the municipal education committees towardeducational continuity from primary through lowersecondary levels. Results revealed that the growingtrend to establish combined primary and lowersecondary schools is strongly associated with themotive to enhance the academic development andstudent guidance as well as declining birth rates.Studies also revealed that those municipals tend toplace a higher importance on abstract matters suchas teachers' motivation and education curriculum ofnine years rather than tangible matters like facilitiesand equipment.
