Designing Music Lessons Based on Locality of “Local Folk Music": The Union between Daily Experience and School Music

“Local Folk Music" should be regarded as not only subject of Japanese traditional music but also local subject related to child's daily experience. The purpose of this paper is to clarify perspectives for designing music lessons based on locality of “Local Folk Music", and then to examine the five case examples of the designed music lessons for the effect of locality. As a result, the independent-minded learning was realized in the music lessons designated from the perspectives of child's daily experience. This offers a model of the union between daily experience and school music.
