Due to the intensification of English education, slow learners of English appear to be facing more difficulties developing self-esteem and self-efficacy in their learning. Although studies have been conducted on how to improve their English skills, the research herein focuses on analyzing the psychological states of slow learners in English class. In this paper, the "slow learner period" is divided into three stages and stated as follows: (1) embryo stage, (2) bridge stage, and (3) integration stage. Interventions for each of the three stages are also suggested to make smooth transitions and help the learner regain his/her psychological state.
