High-concentration Nb-doped titanium dioxide (TiO2) powders were synthesized by a RF thermal plasma method and then heat-treated at various temperatures in air. Photocatalytic activities of the heattreated TiO2 powders was evaluated on decomposition of acetaldehyde under visible light irradiation.Remarkably high photocatalytic activity was observed for the 20 at.% Nb-doped TiO2 powder heat-treated at 800 °C.Key Words: titanium dioxide, Heat-Treatment, Photocatalyst
