In 2017, you can see news about new cities devoloped due to economic growth. Rem Koolhaas, an architect from Holland explained that these new cities are just designed to show off the modern technologies, and have no identity and history inside it. In this study, I will reveal the identity of those modern urban cities, by studying the waterfronts in Japan, which is made up of man-made land with no history, and the malls inside which can be said as a “City inside a City”.
