In order to clarify the impact of urban structural change and global warming on generation and development processes of precipitation systems, the current study conducted statistical analysis of observation data and experimental numerical simulations using a weather research and forecasting model with multiple conditions of land cover. The results show that building height in the urbanized area affects the short-term heavy rainfall in Tokyo and Nerima area. On the other hands,global warming and anthropogenic heat also affect the amount of rainfall. The combination case “Urbanization, High rise building, Global warming” has a greatest effect on short-term heavy rainfall.
