In this paper, we describe a new classification method for makeup operation by using wearable sensor. In order to classify hand operation, we have newly developed a wearable device which employs 3-axis acceleration sensor. Because of acceleration sensor is sensitive according to the wearable attitude of the sensor, the influence of gravity is not negligible. In order to neglect the effect of gravity, we focus on eigenvalues of 3-d acceleration sensor. According to the transient change of eigenvalues from 3-d acceleration sensor, we can classify several makeup patterns. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed by actual several acts.
