In the design of the low noise wind tunnel, it is important to minimize not only the flow noise generated from the nozzle or collector at the test section, but also the fan noise, which is transmitted through the duct system and from outside of the measurement room. In case of small low noise wind tunnel design, the noise treatment is not sufficient compared with the large wind tunnel because of cost and space constraints. This study is an attempt to establish a practical acoustic design process of small low noise wind tunnel. The relationship between BGN and the sound sources were discussed by investigating the characteristics of the sound sources.
