In Japan, flood damage in urban areas due to torrential rains has increased. It is importance to grasp the actual situation of torrential rains. This study conducted torrential rain risk evaluation using atmospheric indexes by GCM20, and conducted analysis of the occurrence and developmentstructure of localized torrential rains based on X-band MP-Rader and MSMGPV (Meso Scale Model Grid Point Value). As a result, atmospheric indexes are connected with torrential rains. Also, the possibility that the torrential rain risk increased by K-indexes increasing in the future was shown.And, cumulonimbus of development structure is related to Knp and Doppler vorticity.
