The purpose of this study is to examine the flood inundation risk and optimum runoff control measures in Musashino City. Flood inundation simulations were performed using an urban flood analysis model. The flood reduction effects by runoff control measures were quantified, and the cost and benefit of runoff control measures were estimated by calculating cost benefit ratio based on. the simulation results. Results show that there are vulnerable areas against flood damagein Musashino City. It was also shown that the introduction of rainwater storage facilities has a noticeable inundation reduction effect. By estimating the cost and benefit of runoff control measures, runoff control measures were confirmed that these were effective measures.
