As a load exerted on the shell structures enlarge due to the effects of the vertical acceleration caused by horizontal seismic motion in addition to the dead load, the arrangement of the supplementary parts is necessary to be verified accordingly. This study focuses on the bucking strength caused by horizontal seismic motion to indicate the effectiveness of the supplementary parts through the verification by numerical analysis to find the pattern of arrangement and the number of supplementary viscoelastic damper parts where its buckling strength as the maximum by horizontal seismic motion.
