DEVELOPMENT OF NUMERICAL METHOD FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS USING HPM

In this paper, the numerical method using HPM to the three-dimensional unsteady heat conduction analysis is discussed. The temperature distribution is required when analyzing the problem on the thermal stress. FEM and FVM are widely used as a numerical method of a heat transfer problem. The thermal stress problem is usually analyzed using these results. However, in the case of the analysis with a discontinuous phenomenon like a crack, the analysis using HPM is convenient. Since the degree of freedom of HPM differs from FEM, it cannot use the result of the heat transfer analysis of FEM. Therefore, in this research, the numerical method of the heat transfer problem which used HPM is developed.
