In recent years, concern about seismic performance of buildings has been increasing in Japan. However, it is an important social problem that there are a lot of buildings without sufficient earthquake resistance which were designed by old seismic standards. To solve this problem, some low-priced and simple technique that can estimate the structural characteristics of the building and obtain the basic data of seismic diagnosis has to be established. This research presents the new method to obtain the basic information of seismic diagnosis by measuring the dynamic behavior of buildings with microtremor observational devices.
