In this paper, the truss element of hybrid-type penalty method is developed. As displacement field, it is assumed that an independent linear displacement field in each element. This model has a two degree of freedom called strain and rigid displacement in element center of gravity. The incidental conditions on the continuity of displacement are considered using a penalty function. The solution obtained by this method is consistent with the exact solution. This element is useful when used in combination with the plane or solid element. In addition, the way to eliminate an inner point is shown using a pin element only with the degree of freedom of the rigid displacements. According to this method, it becomes the data structure that is equal to normal displacement method.Keywords : HPM, Truss, Linear Displacement Field, Penalty Function
