At Musashi-kyuryo National Government Park, Saitama prefecture, Japan, I researched plant fungal diseases about once a month from 2012 to 2014. As a result, I identified 293 plant species including 202 genera belonging to 78 families, and found 39 fungal genera. In particular, powdery mildews, rust, Cercospora diseases, and southen blight was made up of a majority of diseases. And, during 2012-2013, 20 species flowers blighted in flower beds in there. The pathogens isolated from each diseased plant were identified as Sclerotium rolfsii Saccardo by morphological and rDNA sequences. In addition, the homology of the rDNA-ITS region is high to that of S. rolfsii. Hardheads (Centaurea montana L.) and August-lily (Hosta plantaginea (Lam.) Asch.) was added in the new host record of Southern Blight. The others are the first report of the diseases in Japan.
