Description
ZnO powders were synthesized by a homogeneous precipitation method, in which hexamethylenetetramine was used as a precipitating reagent, from the two kind of aqueous solutions of Zn(NO3)2andZnCl2.The effect of Fe and Al ions addition was examined. The addition of Fe ions led to the decrease of particle size, and the hexagonal crystal habit on particle surfaces was recognized under most conditions. The addition of Al ions led to the decrease of particle size in the powders prepared from Zn(NO3)2solutions, and Zn5(OH)8Cl2・H2O formed as a by-product in the powders prepared from ZnCl2solutions.
