Comparison of the Kana pick-out test score between two young age groups

浜松方式高次脳評価スケールに含まれるかなひろいテストは,注意機能を簡便に検査可能である.年代別に標準値が示されているが 40 歳以下は年代ごとの標準値が示されていない.注意機能に関わる前頭葉機能は年齢の影響を大きく受けること,若年者に交通外傷による外傷性脳損傷者が多くみられることを考えると 20 歳代,30 歳代も年代ごとの標準値が必要と思われる.そこで今回 20 歳代,30 歳代健常者を対象に,かなひろいテストの無意味綴と物語文を実施した.その結果,20 歳代と 30 歳代ではその成績に差がみられることが明らかとなった.このことから,20 歳代と 30 歳代はそれぞれの年代で標準値を設定した方がよいことがわかった.また 20 歳代と 30 歳代では到達数に差がなかった.しかし,ターゲットを見落とした数や,正答数を制限時間内に到達したターゲットの総数にて除した正答率で検討したところ 30 歳代の方が 20 歳代よりも見落としの数が多く,正答率が低かった.以上の結果から,かなひろいテストでは従来通りの標準値として示される正答数だけでなく,見落としの数や正答率も考慮して結果を解釈する必要があると考える.
The Kana pick-out test is a simple scale to assess attention based on the standard values available for all age groups, excluding those younger than 40. As the attention-related activity of the prefrontal area is markedly influenced by age, and traumatic brain injury due to traffic accidents is prevalent among young individuals, it may also be necessary to set standard values for subjects in their twenties and thirties. Therefore, in this study, the Kana pick-out test, limited to meaningless syllables and short stories, was conducted, involving healthy individuals aged 20 ‒ 29 and 30 ‒ 39. The results revealed differences in scores between the two age groups. This indicated the necessity of setting standard values for subjects in their twenties and thirties separately. In addition, the arrival values were calculated based on the total number of targets reached within a time limit, there were no differences between the two age groups in this score. On the other hand, when focusing on the accuracy rate, calculated by dividing the false-negative (the number of targets overlooked) or pick-out score by the total number of targets achieved within a time limit, those aged 30 ‒ 39 showed higher false-negative scores with lower accuracy rates than those aged 20 ‒ 29. Based on these observations, the Kana pick-out test results should be examined in consideration of the false-negative score and accuracy rate, in addition to the pick-out score as a basis for the conventional method to set standard values.
